The International Criminal Court has indicted Sudan’s president Omar al-Bashir with war crimes and crimes against humanity. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy:
“He is suspected of being criminally responsible … for intentionally directing attacks against an important part of the civilian population of Darfur, Sudan; murdering, exterminating, raping, torturing, and forcibly transferring large numbers of civilians, and pillaging their property,” said ICC spokeswoman Laurence Blairon.
While you’re issuing arrest warrants, I can think of a couple of other world leaders who have recently vacated their offices and who deserve a one way trip to The Hague. They, too, have war crimes and crimes against humanity to account for. And I ain’t talking some lame-ass “truth commission.”
