Paul Ryan got all the votes necessary to push through his repeal-and-replace legislation to destroy the Affordable Care Act, but only by making enough concessions to convince the Freedom (sic) Caucus that the American Health Care Act was cruel enough to pass paleo-conservative litmus tests. Due to the rushed time table of the vote, no Congressional Budget Office report on the new version of the ACHA was available, but the CBO report on the previous slightly-less-horrible plan predicted that 24 million Americans would lose health insurance coverage. Now the mess goes to the Senate, who seem likely to scrap the plan in favor of another plan that harms maybe only 12 million people.

Oh, and Ivanka Trump has a book out. No one likes it.
