The Hollywood writers and actors strike is about a lot of things, but the AI issues are novel this time around. Scanning actors and saving their likenesses to use in perpetuity is creepy and exploitative. And it shows how truly arrogant studio executives can be.
The part I spent the most time on is Sandra Bullock’s face. I think what threw me is her use of eye shadow to narrow her round eyes, which narrow further when she smiles. Conventionally attractive people are harder for me to draw, too, because I tend to focus on caricatures of much less attractive people like that heartthrob Mitch McConnell. Hubba hubba.
Covid-wise, I keep testing negative, so that’s good news. The fatigue is still annoying. I nap a lot.
