SCENE FOUR
PANEL 1: Fetch and Owen on Pooka arrive at the castle gate. The caste rises golden above them.

PANEL 2: They stop outside the Fair Folk Visitors Bureau

FETCH: We’ll be right back. Keep the meter running.
POOKA: Ha.

PANEL 3: Fetch and Owen approach a counter where a Goblin who looks like the Station Master in chapter one stands.

FETCH: Hiya. I’d like to register one adolescent human for my protection.
GOBLIN: Name, age, gender, and race/ethnicity of the ward?

PANEL 4: Fetch and Owen stand in front of the counter, while Goblin reads from a form.

FETCH: Ward. That’s you.
OWEN: Oh, right. Owen. 13. Fluid. White.
GOBLIN: Do you, Fetch, as guardian guarantee the health and safety of “Owen” to the best of your ability, up to and including sacrificing your livelihood and/or life in protecting him from kidnapping, forced marriage, slavery, and evisceration by hungry swamp goblins?

PANEL 5: Fetch shrugs, Owen glares. Goblin hands them a card.

FETCH: I’ll do my best.
OWEN: Um, do better?
GOBLIN: Approved. Carry this card with you at all times. May your god go with you.
