You might know “the Golden Ones” as mysterious figures from early David Bowie lyrics (or maybe like Bowie you read too much Aleister Crowley in a haze of cocaine). But in any case, the Golden Ones here are actually the more human-friendly fae of the Seelie Court. In case you forgot, the political divisions in the Otherworld as Fetch experiences it are chiefly between the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, which are further divided into corresponding seasonal quadrants: Spring and Summer in the former, Autumn and Winter in the latter. Haunt Jaunts has a nice breakdown here.

Known particularly for their acts of selfless kindness and generosity, it’s no wonder this court is known as the “Court of Inner-Light,” “The Summer Court,” “The Shining Throne,” or “The Golden Ones.”

I think there are other names, but generally in this story we’ll stick to The Golden Ones, because it is so comically pretentious. The denizens of the Autumn Court whom Fetch encounters use the sobriquet more as an ironic epithet. Wouldn’t you if they kept evicting you?
