Mag Mell That Ends Well — Page 5
One detail I just realized is missing after all this time: Tara should be driving on the other side of the road, and sitting on the other side of the car. Set in the Otherworld, in the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, they should reflect the customs of Scotland, Ireland, etc. Silly American I am.

PANEL 1: Exterior of car driving through a bog. Bog monster picks its nose.
FETCH: That’s just it, Tara. We are “devils” — at least in part. How can I be a “proper faerie” when my dad was a demon?
TARA: He didn’t raise us, Fetch. She did. She made sure to raise us faerie.
PANEL 2: Inside the car.
FETCH: True. But bad customer service doesn’t impress ma.
TARA: Oh, that fuddy duddy. She’s living in the past.
PANEL 3: Tara close up
TARA: Most fae are harmless nowadays, Fetch. Even the Unseelie Court. We stay away from humans as a rule. You know what they’re like. There’s nothing we can do to them they haven’t done to themselves worse.
PANEL 4: Fetch musing, Tara ranting.
FETCH: Truth.
TARA: And who cares? Ma just wants to brag to her friends. A bunch of sour old biddies moaning about a past that wasn’t so damn great anyway.
PANEL 5:
FETCH: Does she give you a hard time, too?
TARA: Of course she does. But unlike you, I know how to take it. I stay with my kind and do my duty.
PANEL 6:
FETCH: Keriste. Not this again.
TARA: Sorry. You’re back now, you work hard. I just … I’m still bitter you left. She doesn’t go easier on me than you, y’know.
PANEL 7:
FETCH: The Unseelie Court could really use some therapists.
TARA: We’ve got plenty of whiskey.
