I am going to take a break from Fetch for awhile. I have a lot of other projects sitting on back burners while I have been focused on this strip that I want to get out of my system before I get hit by a bus or the whole system collapses and I am posting cartoons to cave walls.
Also, as indicated by this strip, the toxicity of our politics has gotten to me and I got a lot going on in my personal life. I don’t want to abandon Fetch altogether — I really like the character, and the world I have built around him. So I intend to take him back up in June.
In the meantime I am going to focus on another project that I mentioned quite a while ago, my adaptation of Nikolai Gogol’s The Nose. Below is a panel. I expect it to be 20-25 pages long. I have most of it inked, and a few pages colored. I want to finish before the summer begins. I will post pages as they become available, probably one or two a week, depending on how much time the rest of my life gives me.
“UGH! Enhough of this guy,” indeed. I’m looking to drop off of facebook in a couple of weeks, myself.
