So far in March the chief of Homeland Security John Kelly announced that DHS was considering separating the children  of migrants fleeing war and poverty from their parents; budget director Mick Mulvaney dismissed the academic efficacy  of free school lunch programs; the budget for Housing and Urban Development is being cut by billions of dollars, which Ben Carson thinks will make it more “efficient” ; and Medicaid block grants proposed by Paul Ryan would drastically reduce funding of programs  that serve children living in poverty and with disabilities.Oh, yeah, and they’re eliminating the NEA, which supports PBS and arts programming for children.

Good job everyone.
