Chuck Todd recently let it slip that he doesn’t feel obligated to do basic fact checking of a politician’s propaganda. In this case it was GOP talking points on so-called “Obummercare” – but I think we can see how this subpar approach to political reporting has misled the country into many other fiascos over the past decade or so. Anyway, Todd’s real concern is that deviation from the Myth of Objectivity will cost him that much prized access to the big players in Washington. Those are big stakes for his career I suppose. Not our problem.
