I don’t know which is worse: “human shields” or “humanitarian pause.” Neither serve the interests of the innocent lives caught in the middle of the belligerents, and both serve Netanyahu’s political interests to preserve his hold on power through war, and the US interest in seeming like an honest broker. It’s cruel and only perpetuates the suffering.
