There has been some good reporting on Mike Johnson in the past few weeks, but there has also been a lot of the kind of normalizing that we saw with the Alt Right a few years ago. News corporations and large newspapers run by billionaires are too hesitant, perhaps out of the class interests of their employers, to call a fascist a fascist. Billionaire Peter Thiel has been suing news organizations into bankruptcy for criticizing him, and lawsuits are a favorite tactic of the Trump family to stifle criticism or delay justice. While drawing this cartoon, I came across a great Will Bunch column on the topic that is worth reading.
