The Summer Court leans more fairy tale setting than fae setting, in our story anyway. It’s got a Disney appropriating Hans Christian Andersen or Grimm’s Fairy Tales vibe. The sky is gold and blue, not the nearly oppressive red we’ve seen in the Autumn Court. The Summer Court is the most human-friendly of the four courts, Spring being close behind. So Owen shouldn’t run into any trouble, right? Right?

PANEL ONE: Close-up on Owen, his face bathed in light.

OWEN: Whoa!

PANEL 2: Owen and Fetch stand in the foreground, gazing up at the Summer Court. Finvarra’s castle rises above townhomes, cottages, and various buildings. A cobblestone road cuts through the town in a zig-zag fashion, leading up to the castle. Various fae folk stroll through the town. A naked fairy man plays a pan flute while a leprechaun man dances. A dragon sits on top of one of the buildings, smoking a cigarette and thinking about dragon stuff. The sky is blue and purplish with a golden glow. A river flows around the town. In the distance is a green forest and low hills.

FETCH: Welcome to the Summer Court.

PANEL 3: Owen looks around him, Fetch smiles.

OWEN: This looks like a scene straight out of a fai -
FETCH: Don’t say that word, remember!
OWEN: Oh, right. I mean, uh, some enchanted folklore?
FETCH: That’ll do.
