Crude and Feckless — Page 18
Now we conclude this scene and soon Fetch will finally get some sleep. This day started at the beginning of last chapter, after all. How often do you see a single day cross more than a chapter? I guess that happens a lot in written fiction, but in comics? Probably not often. Maybe I innovated something here. Or maybe it’s sloppy writing?
Anyway, you will get to meet Fetch’s mom soon. She’s the whole reason Fetch bothered to come home in the first place.

PANEL 1
Fetch, Fiona, Naida
FETCH: So who is this Scotty Monroe putz?
FIONA: A real estate developer, a landlord, and a scumbag.
NAIDA: Oh, he’s worse than that!
PANEL 2
Close-up on Naida and Fiona.
NAIDA: No one knows for sure, but the rumor is he is not a true Fae, but a pretender with a fake lineage. Some says he’s not from the Otherworld at all, he comes from the bowels of Hell or summat like that.
FIONA: Bollocks.
PANEL 3
FIONA: Don’t fool yourself. He’s a Fae. Plenty of evil to spread around here. We don’t need foreign sources for it.
NAIDA: Well, I’m just sayin’ what I heard is all.
BRIDGET: Before spreading false rumors, you should really seek out credible sources.
LYDIA: Credible? Oh, what makes them “credible”? The patriarchy? White supremacy?
PANEL 4
Fiona and pixies squabble in background, while Fetch and Knob observe.
FIONA et al: No need to jump down my throat!
Fake news!
Are you calling me racist!
FETCH: Should we…?
KNOB: Hell no. Stay out of it. If things get out of hand, we can start a pub brawl to distract them.
