PANEL 1: Owen looks confused, Fetch is patient as they continue walking down the road, forests recede into the background.

OWEN: No “thank you”? Isn’t it rude to not give your name? Or refuse gifts? Or not eat with your host?
FETCH: To humans, yes. We’re not humans, we’re Fae. Different species, different customs.

PANEL 2: Fetch close up.

FETCH: If you give a Fae your name, they have power over you. If you accept a gift, same thing. Thanking them only puts you in their debt. And it makes acts of kindness look trivial.

PANEL 3: Owen puzzles out the rules, Fetch corrects him.

OWEN: If a fairy —
FETCH: Don’t use that word! “Fae” or “gentle folk” is better.

PANEL 4: Owen corrects himself warily, Fetch smiles.

OWEN: If a gentle folk asks my name, what should I tell them?
FETCH: Make something up! Use a fake name.

PANEL 5: Owen smiles ironically, Fetch shrugs.

OWEN: Okay, so don’t be rude, but lie to them.
FETCH: I said we’re different. I didn’t say we make sense.
